Hi, I'm Nick Kyparissas

and I design computers.

I'm a computer engineer with a deep passion for digital design, computer architecture, and FPGAs. I am currently a Performance Modelling Engineer at Huawei R&D UK. Prior to this, I wrote RTL for quantum computers at Riverlane.

My research interests lie in the areas of reconfigurable computing and special-purpose computer architectures. My PhD focused on near-storage FPGA accelerators designed to filter data for machine learning applications. I have also been fascinated by the theory of computation, unconventional computing and cellular automata.

I hold a Diploma (MEng) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, GR, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Manchester, UK.
